There are at least 10 IWF women working in a variety of career fields attending. We hosted this event last year and it was well received. It’s a fun excuse to go to LSU for a day and network with other MBA ladies and make professional, accomplished contacts.These women are all wonderful and great contacts to have whether or not you plan to stay in Nola.

We are planning on providing transportation to anyone that wants to come.

For the second year in a row, Tulane MBA students will host a holiday-themed pub crawl to raise money for local charities.  Scheduled on Saturday, December 8^th, 40+ Tulane business students and other New Orleans friends will each donate $5 in exchange for a Santa Hat.  Everyone in a Santa Hat then gets access to some great bar specials at each stop along the pub crawl route. 

Sponsored by Lauren Nelson, a second-year MBA and President of the Tulane chapter of MBA Women International, and Nicole Munsey, a second-year MBA/MGM student and President of the Freeman Consulting Group, the pub crawl is not only for a great cause, but also a great time!

Last year, we raised over $400 for Angel’s place, a local hospice for terminally ill children.  This year, we will be raising money for Enlighten Through Travel (http://www.facebook.com/enlightenthroughtravel), a local non-profit, founded by Lydia Onimo, a first-year MBA student at Tulane, that provides students with ACT/SAT tutoring, college prep mentoring, scholarship application assistance, money management and event programming skills, and the life-changing experience of completing an educational tour of countries around the world.

The pub crawl will be starting out at Bridge Lounge at 7pm on Saturday, December 8^th, where participants will get to enjoy our very own special Charity Pub Crawl cocktail made by Bridge Lounge.  Selling for $5, Bridge Lounge will donate one-third of proceeds from the cocktail back to the charity.  From there, we will enjoy beer and well drink specials at Rusty Nail, which is also donating $100 to the charity.  We will end the night at Australian-themed bar Vic’s Café.

We are super-excited to surpass last year’s charity fundraising and are looking forward to a great time.  So, if you’re a current student, a former student, or just enjoy a good time and a good cause, come on out to Bridge Lounge at 7pm on Saturday, December 8^th.  $5 gets you a big red Santa Hat, great specials, and great company for the evening!
